CASS Address Coding

USPS CASS-certified address processing to standardize records, correct ZIP codes, and prepare your list for automated postal handling.

What Is CASS Certification?

CASS — Coding Accuracy Support System — is a USPS program that certifies software that standardizes and corrects mailing addresses. CASS-certified processing is required to qualify for automation postage discounts and is the foundation of any clean mailing list.

PCC's address processing software holds CASS certification from the U.S. Postal Service. We run your list against the current USPS database to correct addresses, assign ZIP+4 codes, add carrier route codes, and generate delivery point barcodes — all in a single pass.

Why Address Quality Matters

Undeliverable mail is waste — wasted postage, wasted printing, wasted opportunity. Poor address quality also disqualifies your mailing from automation discounts, meaning you pay more for worse results.

CASS coding is also a prerequisite for presort discounts. Without it, your list cannot be sorted to the carrier-route level, where the deepest postage discounts are found.

PCC runs CASS coding on virtually every job we touch — it is embedded in our merge/purge, presort, and list management workflows as a default step.

Need address coding only?

We process standalone CASS jobs quickly. Send us your list and we'll return a clean, coded file.
